It was onset of monsoon. He entwined a flower around her finger with vine. Promised to return after two days & left for the sea. With each passing day she came to the river bank and waited. Weeks passed by, dark clouds bellowed, river waves roared. Boats from the sea returned. His boat was yet to be seen on the horizon...
